Firework Light

Street-light umber:
Embers of the day
Pass and sputter
Tarmac-orange way.

Distant crackle-spitting
Heartbeat childhood sway
Hotdogs, sparklers flitting...
Distant speckled play.

Make me humble;
Thank the ebbing day
Thoughts to utter:
Fireworks guide my way.
