If you are considering contacting any Hollywood agencies in late December, here is a heads up from Daily Variety, December 3, 2002 --

Most of Hollywood's agencies will be closed early on December 20 until January 6, due to the fact that Christmas and New Year's Day fall in the middle of the week. Movie studios are not closing except for the usual closures on the holidays themselves. Of  Hollywood's ersatz two-week vacation, one TV executive said the problem of vacation creep has been growing for years.
