NEW YORK (Variety) >> Adrian Paul, best known for starring in the globally successful syndicated series "Highlander," is going back to features. He has been set to star with Carly Pope ("Popular") and Rena Owen ("Once Were Warriors") in "Paper, Scissors, Stone," a psychological thriller that has just begun shooting.

The pic, which was put together by the team of producer Matthew Metcalfe and writer-director Jesse Warn, shoots in New Zealand and Canada and is being financed by myriad sources including Lions Gate, where Paul has an overall deal. The picture concerns a girl whose fascination for riddles becomes a life-threatening exercise.

Actor on the run?

------------------------------------------------------------------------

LONDON (Reuters) --  Sources today denied rumours, despite multiple sightings, that British star of stage and screen, Roy Dotrice, competed today in the Flora London Marathon.  It has been confirmed that Mr. Dotrice is not in London, but on holiday with family and: "Does not intend to run any marathons until at least 2003."

Okay, so it's a very late April Fool's... but at least the facts are correct!
