Ending months of casting speculation about who will play the part of the evil Viceroy in Star Trek: Nemesis, actor Ron Perlman has been officially confirmed as the man for the job.  The Viceroy is the right-hand man to Nemesis' primary villain, Shinzon (played by Tom Hardy), and is a Reman, a wraith-like offshoot race of the Romulans.

Perlman will next be seen in Blade 2, opening March 29, 2002.  He'll be playing a member of the vampire team assembled to track down Blade, but who now find themselves unlikely allies to defeat an even greater danger that threatens both humans and vamps.  Perlman also starred in CBS' Beauty and the Beast fantasy series and had roles in Alien Resurrection, Enemy at the Gates and Cronos.

Star Trek: Nemesis is now filming on the Paramount lot and is slated for a November 2002 release date
