It's STILL a good time to write in appreciation of Roy Dotrice's
appearance in Touched by an Angel.
You might care to say that the appearance of Mr. Roy
Dotrice as the Angel Micah last weekend/Saturday added to your
enjoyment of a favorite series, or something along those lines; but keep it
short and to the point. Short is NOTICED. Short gets COUNTED!
Here's where to write :
CBS Productions "Touched By An Angel"
7800 Beverly Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA 90036
Later will be TOO late. If you haven't already, write NOW!

Good news from Canada! Helper Cathy Whiting
in Canada posted to say, "To my great joy, I
happened on Beauty and the Beast on a new (??) network called Showcase Diva. It
airs on Saturday and Sunday numerous times, with one episode on Saturday and
another on Sunday. I have not got a TV schedule as yet (new toy called digital
cable). This is a Northwestern Ontario phenom--but maybe, it is available
elsewhere. All the very best to you, Nan."
I thank Cathy for this good news. I do not find Showcase Diva in my
cable listings, but perhaps it's a channel only available by satellite. Or
perhaps it's available only in Ontario/Canada. Anyone who can provide more
information on it, please relay, since I know that many more people would like
to be able to watch the series than are able to get the Hallmark channel.

This news from Helper Chandler
concerning the 2002 convention in Florida.
Please pass this
information along to all the clubmeetings and mailing lists:
A KINGDOM BY THE SEA III
The Celebration of Love
OCTOBER 2001 UPDATE ...
Preparations for the 2002 Convention are coming along nicely. I have made plans
for traditional favorites and added some new activities. The pipes are clanking
to announce that within the dealer and art room we will have raffles, blue light
specials and many more surprises. There will be activities to choose from that
everyone will enjoy including decorating a t-shirt with the celebrities, a new
event Scrapbooking and so much more.
And you don't want to miss the fun and opportunity to participate in our version
of a game show that were calling, 'Who Wants To Be a Beastie-aire.' So, plan to
enjoy all the entertaining events in Con 2002.
The registration rate is now $115.00 which includes the Saturday night banquet.
I had originally intended to increase the rate to $130 on November 1. However, I
am extending the $115 rate until January 1, 2002.
So this will give you more time to save money on your registration. Also, you
can now make your reservations at the Holiday Inn on International Drive,
Orlando, Florida. Their number is 407-357-3500. Make sure to mention the
convention name when you call to ensure that you receive the group rate of
$94.00 plus tax for either single/double/triple/quad occupancy.
I will be having the Hidden Treasure Table again. For those you that may not be
aware of this convention table from the 99 Con, this table was literally
overflowing with items from prior year conventions donated by our tunnel family
so that current attendees would have the chance to purchase these hard to find
collectibles. This table has fanzines that are no longer in print, pictures,
cups, t-shirt, and so much more. I am hoping that everyone will again send me
items that they are willing to part with so new members that were not around
when this merchandise was originally sold will be able to enjoy now. This was
another way for all the tunnel dwellers at the 99 convention helped to overall
donate $1500 to the American Cancer Society. So, if you have anything to donate,
please send it to my home address. Speaking of this years charity, the profit of
the 2002 Convention will be split between two charities this time around, the
American Cancer Society and Sudden Infant Death Alliance Society.
Also please give me your input regarding extended vacation planning tours you
would like me to arrange for the Monday after the convention and Tuesday during
the day. I have been considering having a tour to Disney's waterpark Typhoon
Lagoon. It is a beautiful park with a large wave pool, lazy river ride where you
can sit in a rubber tube and float away just enjoying the Florida sunshine while
you are pushed gently by the current and if you prefer somewhat more of a fast
pace fun there are many water slides that you can enjoy. There are also water
slides and play area for young children.
