Per Army Archerd's Friday (5/9) column in Daily Variety, "Jim Cameron now
has more reason to delay following Dennis Tito as a civilian space traveler
-- he and wife Suzy Amis welcomed daughter Carol, born April 4." Why am I
not surprised?

Here's an excerpt from a happy post from Jennifer and Eric Tullis (who
maintain the "Songs of the Bluebird" webpage) announcing splendid news:

"Finally, twelve days after our "due date" (yeah, right), and with plenty
of medical intervention, our new baby has made an appearance and has
introduced himself.

So, we'd like to announce the birth of Joshua Cole Tullis, born today
[Friday, 5/11/01] at 12:57 am at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis.
He weighs 9 pounds, 3.5 ounces and is 22 and 1/4 inches long. You can check

FYI-I have despaired of ever getting out the books (Beyond Words, Beyond
Silence and Bright Spirit Descending) that I owe people. The complications
of printing, binding, and mailing have proved beyond my ability to cope
with. So over the next week or so, I'm gonna reformat both books, insert
the art, and offer them free for the downloading as self-extracting zip
files at the HN website. No checks for orders have been cashed; however,
that leaves the problem of anybody who sent me cash or a money order. I'm
still thinking about how to handle those refunds. I'll figure it out
eventually. In the meantime, I hope anyone who's interested in these books
will download and enjoy them. I hope to have them posted for downloading by
the end of May.
