Here's a little Roy Dotrice newslet kindly relayed by Helper Stephanie Wiltse:
This in from Roy Dotrice February 25th:
"Kay and I went to a Shakespeare evening organised by Ellen Geer for her
Theatrical Botanicum in Topanga Canyon last evening. It was held in the
Mermaid Tavern and was a very pleasant get together. Linda Hamilton was
there and gave us a reading of 'A Mother's Prayer', which she did
beautifully. I got in on the act, as t'were, with a lengthy scene from
Maxwell Anderson's 'Winterset'."
We all appreciate the relay, Stef. Thanks! Say Hi to Roy for us all,
please, if you get the chance.and "write if you get work":-ask him to
let
you know about any roles he has in prospect, now that Madigan Men has
defuncted, so we can all look forward to them.

Here are some things to look forward to, and some places to look, from
Helper Mary Burke. Thanks, Mary! I will mention.if anyone sends Sightings,
they'd be more helpful if they specified what time zone was being
referenced (I do everything as Eastern) and what time and channel the item
was to be on. Also, if possible, WHICH B&B person is in the Sighting. Then
I have all the info I need, to relay it. However, all Sightings are welcome
and appreciated!
Mary says,
I was watching the E! channel this past week and caught an item on E! News
Daily about Arnold Swartzenegger (Linda Hamilton's co-star in Terminator).
The article was about his supposed fondling of co-stars and other women on
the sets. Linda Hamilton was featured during the filming of Terminator 2,
and quoted as saying that this behavior never happened. Since I usually
only read about these items after they have been on, it was great to get
the news "first hand".
I have also been checking the tv guide site and find a great listing of
upcoming shows with Linda and Ron. The site address is
http://www.tvguide.com. Go to TV Listings
and search using either Linda
Hamilton or Ron Perlman. Occasionally a show is listed that they are not
in, so I think it picks up on a portion of their name.
Some upcoming episodes to watch for are March 4, Houdini (Odyssey); March
11, The Practice (ABC); March 14, Regis & Kelly (CBS); March 16, The View
(ABC); March 16, Trial of Old Drum (Animal Planet) - a great show where Ron
is not in makeup; March 19, Dante's Peak (ABC).
In addition, I recently found some sites with great pictures of Ron and
Linda taken at awards shows or premiers. I hope I have the addresses
correct. It took a bit of hunting. It's
http://www.bomis.com/rings/lindahamilton
and
http://us.imdb.com/Name?Perlman,+Ron.
think in either case, just change
the names for whichever one you want. The "bomis" site has links to
other
sites, too.
Thanks for the weekly updates on your site. I look forward to reading it
every week.
Mary Burk
Thanks to YOU, Mary!

I've received some blessed clarification from Pat Thomas re her relayed
request, last week, for a missing final page for one Martha Carothers. I
clearly misunderstood completely!
Pat posted to tell me that the publication in question is NOT one of the
graphic novels, as I had inferred. Instead, it's a 1989 edition of The
Comics Scene #8, bought in a Dealers' Room at the Orlando con. In it there
was an article called "Artist and the Beast" by Scott Lobdell, TELLING
about Wendy Pini--how she was invited to Hollywood to tour the studio and
meet the cast of B&B before going on to write the graphic novel,
"Portrait
of Love." Martha has pp. 53-56 of this article, which is then continued on
p. 58. It's page 58 that she doesn't have--the conclusion of this article.
All clear now?
If you're in possession of this issue of The Comics Scene #8, and have THAT
page (#58) which Martha is seeking, post to Pat (who's online, as Martha is
not) at grandmom@apex.net. She'll then
relay to Martha.
I appreciate Pat's clearing this up. Sometimes it takes two bounces to get
everything right, I've found.
