Here's quite a diversity of news from Helper/Correspondent Darlene Sullivan:
Linda Hamilton attended the opening night of "Romeo and Juliet,"
featuring
a multi-ethnic cast, at the Ahmanson Theater in Hollywood. The
post-performance party guests included David Birney, Angela Bassett, and
Angelica Houston. From The Hollywood Reporter.
Heath Ledger (Roar") has been chosen as ShoWest's 2001's male star of
tomorrow. He's currently shooting "White Feather" opposite Kate Hudson
(Goldie Hawn's daughter) and will next be seen in the action-adventure film
"A Knight's Tale." The ShoWest award date is March 8, 2001 in Las
Vegas.

Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" - The Walt Disney Co. is
planning to
release five large-format films in the next few years including a retooled
"Beauty and the Beast" for Imax theaters scheduled for March 8, 2002.
The
company's release of "Fantasia-2000" has taken in $64 million
worldwide in
just 75 theaters which indicated there is a giant-screen market. There are
221 Imax theaters in 28 countries, including 110 in the United States.
Disney's Feature Animation spent a year in large-format production on
"Beauty," enhancing the image and refining the characters faces,
backgrounds and special effects. A never-before-seen musical sequence has
been added the features the song "Human Again." Written for the
original
1991 release, the song was storyboarded but never animated until now.
Compiled from Variety and The Hollywood Reporter.
"The Terminator" News - The French videogame giant, Infogames, is near
a
buy for the videogame rights to the "Terminator" franchise. Infogames
is
bidding between $9 million and $10 million for rights to four
"Terminator"
movies, including two films that have yet to be produced.
That's about the same fee Infogames paid for the rights to "The
Matrix"
franchise. Infogames also owns videogame rights to the hits "Men in Black
2" and its animated TV series, "La Femme Nikita" in all its
movie and TV
incarnations, "Peanuts," "Mission Impossible 1&2" and
the animated series
of "Superman" among many others.
In 1996, Infogames acquired Ocean which owned the videogame rights to the
first two "Terminator" movies, and Infogames has been working to
secure
exclusive rights to "Terminator 3," starring Arnold Schwarzenegger for
release next year, and a possible "Terminator 4" movie. From Variety.

Thanks, Darlene!

Judy also notes that B&B episode videos are again becoming available. I
haven't had a chance to check it out myself, but Judy has put a link on the
"front" page of her website that provides the information for those
interested:

Thanks for all the fish, Judy! (A Hitchhiker's Guide/Douglas Adams [no
relation, I think] joke.)

Helper Tom Witt has a couple of heads-ups regarding the Linda Hamilton
website (http://www.lhow.com):
"If you check the News section of the Linda Hamilton Online website, it
says that Linda's movie "Bailey's Mistake" will be on ABC March 18.
Also in
the News section of the Linda Hamilton Online website is a review of
Linda's new film, Skeletons in the Closet."
Tom adds, "Oh by the way. In today's (February 24) edition of Classic
Alliance of Beauty and the Beast, the "What's New" section says that
Ellen
Geer [Mary] will be performing some of her original music at clubs in
California on March 2 and March 17."
Nan again. I refer you to the CABB website
(http://www.rtchaos.com/cabb/cabb.html)
for whatever further details there
may be-place, time, etc.
Thanks, Tom! I appreciate your relays, since they're the only way this
information reaches me, to pass along.

Occasional supplier of vivid, timely photos Albert Ortega posted to say
that Ortega Photo now accepts credit cards via Paypal. Mr. Ortega says, "So
if you have been holding back from getting those latest Perlman
pics...e-mail my wife Maya at mayamoe@aol.com
as she handles my business
now." Mr. Ortega rightly points out that those who have ordered his photos
in the past can vouch for their quality. So can those who have seen his
candids of B&B people online, a kindly contribution to the fandom.

Helper Kathy Battershell says, "Even though the Emmys are next weekend,
they gave out some awards last Sun. This week on Entertainment Tonight on
Mon (I tape and watch all at once) they announced that Beah
[Richards-Narcissa] won best guest supporting actress (not sure of the
title) on "The Practice". Tomorrow's episode. WOW."
Thanks for this VERY welcome news, Kathy!

Helper Patricia Thomas would like to help Martha Carothers (not online),
who bought a copy of the 1989 edition of the B&B comic #8 by Wendy Pini
[sounds like one of the graphic novels, to me]--frustratingly lacking its
last page. Would someone who has this graphic novel (I suspect it's Night
of Beauty.but not for CERTAIN) be willing to photocopy the final page and
send it to her? Or sell her your copy? If so, or for further details,
e-mail Pat Thomas (who's acting as go-between) at grandmom@apex.net.

Some months ago, somebody was trying to contact B&B writer Ann R. Brown. I
now have a new address for her...but of course have forgotten in the
