NAN DIBBLE'S HOTLINE UPDATE - 5th November 2000

This is the news for November 5 from Nan Dibble and Helpers' Network
Hotline for fans of Beauty and the Beast. To contact me by e-mail, post to
ndibble@fuse.net. To stop (or to begin) receiving updates as e-mail, notify
me at the above e-mail address. To reach me by phone (evenings/weekends),

I admit it: I played hooky from the hotline last week. My brother had been
in for his annual visit, and suffice it to say that I wasn't up to much
before (cleaning), during (hostessing), or after (collapsing in exhaustion
from all the cleaning and hostessing). I will try to get myself caught up
soon, but for me, being behind has become a way of life. There's a saying,
"God put me on this earth to accomplish certain things. At this rate, I
will never die." I am in complete sympathy with this sentiment right now.

I'm happy to be able to tell you that frequent correspondent Darlene
Sullivan has arrived at her new home in Arizona, and even has most of her
things about her (the rental van from hell-you Don't want to know!). I'm
sure we all wish Darlene well in her new home as she continues her recovery.

Helper Tom Witt notes, "You recently mentioned that the CABB website was
back up. When I took a look at it, it gives specifics about 'Laura,' the
stage  play that Linda Hamilton is appearing in. The exact dates are
November 8 to December 17. It also lists the ticket prices and the  number
of the Tiffany theater box office if you want to get tickets. You can find
the information either under 'What's new' or 'The Linda Hamilton File.'
Thanks, Tom. One reason among many that we're all glad the CABB site
(http://www.rtchaos.com/cabb/cabb.html.)
is again up and serving its many "customers." I would STILL appreciate
someone with the 2001 ConCom giving me detailed info on that con, by the
way.. (hint, hint).

In connection with which, this item from Helper Becky Bain, whom I thank.
Becky says it appeared yesterday in her local newspaper.

"'Terminator' actress headed for stage

"Terminator" toughie Linda Hamilton, who began her professional acting
career on TV, now goes to the stage, where she'll star in a whodunit
beginning next Friday.

Hamilton, 44, will play Laura Hunt in a theatrical adaptation of the 1944
film noir mystery "Laura" at the Tiffany Theater in West Hollywood.  In the
story, Laura is found murdered days before her wedding to a playboy.

She starred opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger in "The Terminator" (1984) and
the sequel "Terminator 2: Judgment Day" (1991)."

Someone whose online name is "skyesilver" and whose interesting e-mail
address is blubless@swbell.net has a WANTED: "Am looking for info on the
pewter figures from the TV series sold by maybe Republic pictures. Received
Vincent as gift trying to find out about set and if any other figures would
be available for purchase. If you have info, or have a lone figure you'd be
willing to part with, you can contact Skyesilver by e-mail.

Besides WANTED, we have an OFFER from Cheryl Pfeifer: "I am trying to sell
the counted cross stitch picture I did of Vincent. It is large (frame is
24.5"x 29")  and custom framed.  It took me a year and a half to do the
stitching.  Those who were at the LA Con this past summer saw it in the Art
Show.  I have listed it on ebay, the URL is:
http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=477428176
