Having waited what I consider a suitable time for some official source to
do it, I am now making available audiotape (metal) copies of the out of
print Of Love and Hope album. On the B side, I'm putting the Don Davis
"Suite from Beauty and the Beast" from scores he wrote for the series
(as
opposed to the theme, which is by Lee Holdridge). Tapes are $10, which
includes postage in the US/Canada; those ordering from elsewhere should
include an additional $5 to cover the increased postage. I have about a
dozen audiotapes already made up, so I should be able to turn orders around
fairly swiftly (yes, I know that's unlike me, but I DO try!).

A couple of people have, in the past, mentioned that they'd like to
reproduce the CD entire. I haven't the equipment to do that. If someone
cares to make CDs of OLAH available, and cares to give me contact
information, I'll be glad to include that in the brief factual notice on
the website.

I also have new printings of Beyond Words, Beyond Silence (the Trilogy) and
Bright Spirit Descending (Alchemist, To Reign in Hell + the story of the
founding of the tunnel community) in the works. I should have the art
reproduced and copies bound and ready for sale in about a week.
These are novelizations commissioned by Cinemaker and approved by Republic
before both vanished. They are zine-bound, roughly 100 pages (each) of
readable, condensed type in columns. They have the original art and
covers-in fact, for BWBS, Barb Gipson (who did all the interior art) has
provided ALL her original drawings, only 3 of which were actually
reproduced in the book as published. So pending the kindness of Sue Haley,
who's scanning this art for me, BWBS will have about 3 times the art that
appeared in the original Cinemaker printing.AND a color cover.
In case I forget to mention it, I wrote them.
Copies are $15 to the US/CAN, $20 elsewhere (postage included in either
case). Again, send to:

I know many of you have already read these books, and some have been kind
enough to post me privately that they enjoyed them. So I have a favor to
ask. I'd like those of you who've read either of these books to write me a
brief post explaining what you thought of it. I'll post these on the
forthcoming web page section dealing with the books so that prospective
readers unfamiliar with my novelizations can get a sense of what they are,
and what they're like, from other readers. Sort of like a Q-fer review in
reverse.
I intend to put up an ad for these books sometime during the next week, on
the Helpers' Network website, so I'd appreciate it if those who'd like to
write Letters of Comment would do so for inclusion by next weekend.
However, I'll also include latecomers, if any send posts after that.
Thanks.

For them what keeps track, this May is the second anniversary of the
Helpers' Network online. It's approaching 150,000 hits and has enjoyed
quite a steady volume of visits from its inception until now. Aren't you
glad we're all still here? I am!

Helper/Correspondent and all-round nice person Lisa Bock, of the LA2K
ConCom, posted to say that there are no new auctions this week because her
mom went into the hospital for emergency bypass surgery last Monday and she
had to drop everything to be with her. I'm sure that many join me in hoping
all has gone well with the operation and in wishing both Lisa and her mom
fortitude and a speedy recovery, free from complications, from this crisis.
Those so inclined (as I am) may include them in their prayers..
