Helpers Sandie Whited and Marilyn Almond were both kind enough to bring to
my attention that the current (March) issue of In Style magazine has an
article about the home Bruce Abbott (played Devin; was Linda Hamilton's
husband at the time B&B was filming) shares with current wife Kathleen
Quinlan and their family. Marilyn mentioned that there's a charming
vignette reported of Abbott's and Quinlan's wedding-Linda Hamilton sent
suits for children Tyler and Dalton (LH's son with BA) to wear. And Sandie
points out that there are several large photos of Mr. Abbott and Ms.
Quinlan, "plus quite a bit about how Bruce did much of the decorating of
the house, hunting up odd, eclectic pieces of furniture and decorations. A
nice article." I thank both Sandie and Marilyn for calling this article to
our attention. The magazine is presumably available at news stands.

Helper/writer Jana (formerly Ondrechen.I forget her re-married name, and
she forgot to remind me), author of the still unpublished B&B Guidebook,
posted to say that to no one's surprise, Davis-Panzer have informed her
that they are not, after all, going to produce a B&B catalogue. So those
who have been holding their breath for the catalogue to be produced can
stop now. However, some specially produced artwork, jewelry, and other
items are still available on the Davis-Panzer website, www.beauty-beast.com.

Helper Kay Anderson posted with an intriguing newslet: The website
http://www.tveyes.com/, she says, will
notify her whenever the key word
she's chosen (need we say it was "Beauty and the Beast"?) is mentioned
on
TV. She invites, "Anyone else game to try this?" After all the price
is
right (free).. Thanks, Kay.

From the LA2K ConCom:
Dear Beauty and the Beast Fans:
Its time to get serious, folks. We need to raise money for the convention!
As we have told you, the auctions we are conducting are to raise money
solely to pay for celebrities at the convention. The more money we raise,
the better chance YOU have to see many stars from the show.
We have started THREE new auctions and will put new auctions up every
couple of days or so... Let's see some hot and heavy bidding!
The items up now are:
http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=274824559
entitled
"Beauty and the Beast TV Authentic Costume #1". An authentic Judy
Evans
costume from the show. In 1996, just before she left Witt-Thomas, Judy
Evans rescued dozens of her B&B costumes from storage that would otherwise
have been trashed. Remembering full well that there was a vibrant fandom,
she sought fandom out and donated the costumes. Clothing racks were
subsequently built for them and storage lockers rented. This costs money.
But still, as of now, most of the costumes are still on hand. Some will
continue to be kept, others have been (and/or will be) donated to charity
auctions, and a few are being auctioned here in order to raise money to
bring stars to the 2000 convention, where fans will also be able to see
many other Judy Evans costumes, and where more money will be raised for
charity.
