| Brief History | Arctan Computer Ventures was born
in 1985 to publish a range of software for the home computer market, including games,
drawing packages, programming utilities, and financial aids. In 1987, they entered the home/business market via software for the Amstrad PCW, a CP/M based computer badged as a wordprocessor (plus some). This included various home/small business accounts packages, a spreadsheet program, various financial analysis tools, programming utilitie, and more games! From 1990 onwards, they have concentrated on the bespoke software market, and have produced a broad range of business applications including a microfiche print management system, a drag-racing database, a small business bookkeeping program, an accounting package for a local-authority own recording studio, and a shoe last specification management system - amongst others! In 1995, Arctan Computer Ventures became a limited company. In 1999, they re-entered the commercial software market again with two applications aimed at technical users
In April 2000, Arctan released their first PC-specific application for the general market - WordPuzzle Pro - Designed for use by puzzle creator and solvers. The full version includes advanced facilities such as output to HTML. |

| Future Outlook | Arctan have a commitment to not
only broadening the range of software available to the general market, but also
strengthening the existing range of software to incorporate suggestions from the user
community. A Telnet program designed for automating tasks performed on remote computers will be available by September.
