This example shows a British-style crossword. This example has two sets of clues - Cryptic and Straight (Alternative Clue set). This shows in the ToolTips, which show both the normal and alternative clue for the clicked word.

You can also see that the outs have been given a marble tablet effect picture, and the letters have been given a dark wood tile effect background.

Notice the first word is selected. If the user typed onto the grid, text would appear at the orange square (cursor) and the direction of typing is indicated by the direction of the blue lines in the square (across).
