Overview

	PerlWiz	PerlWiz is a complete programming environment (IDE) for the Perl programming language, working in conjunction with ActivePerl to give you one-click access to a variety of tools. It includes a multi-file syntax-highlighting customizable text editor, in-line text and browser execution, form field emulation, code templates, inbuilt web server, on-line context-sensitive help with tutorials and web links, version control and backups, one-click uploading and testing on your web site, store programs in a transportable compressed project file, MySQL integration and much much more. PerlWiz is now Freeware with optional registration for yearly support contract.
	uPnMove	Make life easy for yourself when uploading your web site, or moving your web site from one provider (or part of a web site) to another. If you need to move your web site, you really need to redirect visitors (and search engines) to your new site for a period of time to ensure you don't lose people. With uPnMove, it could take five minutes - just set up your details once and click a button to set up your old web site to redirect all your visitors. Once you're set up, it's a single click to update your new web site from now on. Quick and easy! If you have multiple web sites, you can use the quick and easy Profiles feature, and with automatic ramped retries, you can leave the program to do its job of updating your site(s) while you get one with something more useful! And for safety, uPnMove writes nothing as files to your own PC - everything is done in memory and within the registry. Peace of mind! If you're a FrontPage user, you can opt to exclude administrative directories, saving much uploading time and valuable web space.
	DataLoader	DataLoader is a program designed to facilitate loading data into or between PeopleSoft / Oracle environments utilising a batch scripting language. It also has analytical tools and automatic script generation tools, and will work across multiple environments, allowing scripts to be batched up into a single job. And it's Free!
	Replacer	Bulk Replacer is a simple to use and quick to execute FreeWare program to find text within files under a given directory and replace the text with alternative text. Great for bulk updates to HTML on web sites. Includes a 'test' mode.
	WordPuzzle Pro	WordPuzzle Pro is a truly creative tool for interactively producing and completing crosswords and other puzzles, with a host a facilities to make your work look good on the page, distributable to other users of WordPuzzle Pro, or from your Web Site - and can now produce JavaScript-based interactive puzzles at the click of a button!
	QuickCup	QuickCup gives you your first taste in Java Applet and Application development. It is the teaching tool used with the accompanying course, as taught at Northampton College by the author. Try it now. It's free, and easy to use.
	ArcTel	If you have any tasks that require logging onto a remote server, the chances are you do this by logging on with a telnet client program. ArcTel is a telnet client, but with additional facilities to aid in the process of automating tasks, including running commands on a server, logging the results to a log file, and transferring files to/from the server using the FTP protocol or via email. Notification can also be performed by printing or email. ArcTel includes a comprehensive structured scripting language for performing a variety of tasks, fully described with numerous examples in the on-line manual, available in both HTML format.
	Excel2Ingres	Excel2Ingres is the ideal user-friendly data analysis and conversion tool for users of the Ingres database management system, interfacing to your terminal-based (e.g. Unix) environment via a simple Excel interface. It will also take data sets, analyze them, and create Ingres SQL scripts and load files.
	LogAnalyser	LogAnalyser for SQL Server gives the facility to take log or script files produced by the SQL Server Trace program, and filter through to pinpoint specific activity within the database.

uPnMove is due for a v2.1 release in April 2004, with a number of new facilities to make the process of uploading your web site, and relocating it even easier! All existing users will get a free update.

PerlWiz version 1.1 released.  This is an IDE (Programming Environment) for programming using the standard ActivePerl implementation of the Perl language. It has many features, such as the ability to edit multiple files using appropriate Perl and HTML syntax highlighting, syntax checking / execution to text window or browser, simulation of form-fields being filled and environment variables. Also, a great many customizations can be made via the standard project, or you can create different types of customizations for different projects that you are working on, including identification information and version control.  You can save and quickly recall up to nine rolling back-ups, save to your web site as easily as you save to disk, test on your web site as well as locally, copy all your files into the compressed project file for easy and compact transportation to another computer (e.g. via email or disk), use and store code templates.  You can use projects or ignore them. You can even create a file without giving it a name in order to try things out without committing yourself, and the on-line help is context-sensitive, customizable, and includes tutorials for basic use of the program, as well as a simple web-programming walkthrough. It's got everything you need to program for the web, so why not get started today?
