If you have any tasks that require logging onto a remote server, the chances are you do this by logging on with a telnet client program.

ArcTel is a telnet client, but with additional facilities to aid in the process of automating tasks, including running commands on a server, logging the results to a log file, and transferring files to/from the server using the FTP protocol. Notification can be by printing out a document or even Emailing a message.

ArcTel includes a comprehensive structured scripting language for performing a variety of tasks, fully described with numerous examples in the on-line manual, available in a well-structured HTML format.
